Getting the right information in the right context to the right decision maker is not easy in any enterprise. Doing Business Intelligence the right way takes real skill and cooperation between operations, finance, senior management, and IT. When it’s done right, key information is captured from many different databases and systems, validated by operational personnel, and then presented concisely and clearly to the decision makers in the organization. Making that happen well takes planning, know-how, and technical expertise that is rare.
