SIM Portland will kick off the first meeting of the fall with an Award Event and keynote to celebrate the 2021 Oregon CIO and CISO honorees for 2021

Oregon 2021 CIO of the Year
This unique award will recognize an exceptional CIO in the state of Oregon or SW Washington. Selection is based on initiatives, contributions, and impact covering several key category areas such as Role in the Business, Leadership in Driving Business Value, Leadership in Innovation, Managing the IT Organization, Community and Charitable Involvement.  Past awardees include Ananthan Thandri (2019), VP & CIO of Mentor Graphics (now a Siemens Company), and Lutz Beck (2020), CIO of Daimler Trucks North America


Oregon 2021 CISO of the Year
The Oregon CISO of the Year Awards is created to identify and celebrate the amazing work being done by Oregon executives dedicated to improving the information security of their respective companies, governments, and organizations. Past awardees include Jon Washburn(2020), CISO, Stoel Reves LLP
