Christopher Paidhrin is the Senior Information Security Officer with the City of Portland, Oregon. His personal and professional journey is a matrix of synchronicity and serendipity that we hope you will find interesting and informative. Christopher will share with us his insights, lessons learned, and resources he has developed while navigating the cyberthreat landscape. Bio: Christopher Paidhrin, CISSP, CRISC is an internationally recognized public sector and healthcare information security authority and mentor, having received recognition and awards for service excellence, including NetworkWorld, ISE (iise.org), SC Magazine, and Information Security magazine's 2011 "Security 7" Award. For the past six years, Christopher has been the Senior (Chief) Information Security Officer for the City of Portland, Oregon, aligning cybersecurity best practices with Citywide services and values, including equity, diversity, privacy, and open data governance.
Christopher is actively engaged with cybersecurity peers across regional and national communities including, Information Systems Security Association, Portland (ISSA past president: https://portland.issa.org/), Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA https://www.isaca.org/), and Multi-State Information Sharing & Analysis Center (Business Resiliency Committee, MS-ISAC https://www.cisecurity.org/ms-isac/).
