As a side effect of COVID and the resultant remote work imperative, most companies have experienced employee attrition as part of the great resignation/reshuffle/renegotiation/pick-your-term with the quit rate being a new metric tracked. 33 million Americans have quit their jobs since the spring of 2021 and bargaining power has shifted decidedly in favor of the employee over the employer. The impact of this is that retaining your best existing employees and recruiting great new employees has become both more important and more challenging than ever.

For our next RoundTable event, we are teeing up this topic of retaining current and recruiting new employees as a key strategic priority and what companies are doing differently to tackle this ongoing challenge. It is an area that is getting more and more attention, especially in these inflationary times as employees' pay increases is often not keeping up with the increase in prices and costs.

Our next RoundTable session will take place on Tuesday, May 31st from noon to 1pm. This should again be a very interactive session with everyone around the various virtual RoundTable breakouts sharing their company narratives related to how companies are tacking this challenging issue and environment. Again for this next roundtable session we will have a single subject matter expert discuss his/her experiences before moving to our breakouts, but the one thing that will not change is the great opportunity to share your company's narrative and best practices.
