Primarily fueled by the value of Data Analytics and the importance of data, the Chief Data Officer role has grown in popularity and responsibility over the last few years. But what is this role and how does it fit into the rest of the organization? This interactive roundtable will start by discussing how the CDO role came to be, why we are seeing more and more CDOs, and what a CDO’s goals usually are. We will then explore the often times, blurred lines between the CDO and the CIO/CTO. We will then discuss strategies for working with and supporting the CDO role to help leverage data as a strategic asset to achieve company goals of increasing revenue, improving margins, and creating a competitive advantage.
