Shirley was told by her family to become a secretary. She was not encouraged to seek a career or go to a traditional college, yet she knew she wanted more for herself. Instead, she chose to listen to herself and assess her own potential. That led her on a journey where she demonstrated resilience, persistence and planning.

Fast forward, Shirley now has over twenty years at the cybersecurity executive level and currently serves as the CISO for the City of Austin. You can expect to be inspired by her evolution, her journey and her story.
