The Business of You: Visibility

In today's ever-changing world, knowing the current recruitment climate and trends is important. Your personal and professional visibility are core to executive recruiters being able to "find" you for that next career opportunity. Even if you're not looking for a role, keeping your network alive and healthy so you can lean on it for benchmarking advice takes effort.

Whether you're an introvert wearing extrovert clothing or a networking maven, Kristen will share recruitment market insights, along with tips and tricks on how to easily bolster your professional visibility and enhance your network. No, she won't tell you to go make a TikTok video - though that would be awesome - but Kristen will share simple phrases to put on your Linkedin profile and resume, how to be subtle yet deliberate in using Linkedin, and how even the shyest or busiest leader can make time for effective networking.

About Our Speaker:

Kristen Lamoreaux, President & CEO of Lamoreaux Search - a technology search firm focused on permanent placement across the US and Europe - is a cultivator of talent that derives joy from helping others achieve their potential. Her integrity, candor, and focus on moving things forward ensure you will always get the hard truth from her mentoring heart. A woman of energy and action, Kristen is a self-proclaimed “Inclusionist” who dedicates her efforts, both personally and professionally, toward helping people and organizations reap the benefits from a diverse leadership team.

Kristen serves as the MIT, Outreach, & Partnership Chairs for SIM Philadelphia and serves on the PHISIM Foundation board. She also serves on the SIM National Management Council and National DEI Council. Kristen is also the founder of SIM Women - a North American networking organization for over 1100 female CIOs and their direct reports. She conducts monthly webinars, regional meetings, and emcees a national conference annually where she hosts tech non-profits focused on diversity and inclusion. Her philanthropy also extends to the Tech Impact Advisory Council, the LaSalle University Computer Science Advisory Board, and serving as a partner to ITSMF - a national association of Black Information Technology Leaders.

Our Mission:

Facilitate the exchange of information and business opportunities among senior Information Technology executives. This will provide alignment between the Business and Information Technology practices. Our goal is to focus on problem solving, discussion of issues pertaining to IT careers, reviewing business objectives and how to develop stronger relationships with the business community, and true networking in a safe haven environment where consulting organizations are not present.
