APIs power virtually every web and mobile application, accounting for over 80% of all Internet traffic. And APIs are under attack. Gartner states APIs have become the “most frequent attack vector," resulting in hundreds of highly successful, high profile breaches. This 1-hour API Security Workshop, featuring Dan Barahona, will present 1) why attackers love APIs, 2) examination of real-world breaches, 3) best practices to keep APIs secure.

Dan Barahona is the founder of APIsec University - a site that offers high quality, no cost, non-vendor training on API security risks and best practices. In its first year APIsec University has enrolled over 75,000 students, including 75% of the Fortune 100. All courses are free and include assessments and certificates. Dan has over 20 years of cybersecurity experience at companies including Qualys, ArcSight, Anomali, APIsec, and others.
