AI presents several security risks that businesses must actively mitigate. One of the most significant is the use of AI by malicious actors to launch more sophisticated and automated cyberattacks. These attacks can range from AI-powered phishing campaigns that are highly personalized and difficult to detect, to deepfake technology used to impersonate employees or executives for fraudulent purposes. Additionally, AI systems themselves can be vulnerable to new types of attacks, such as data poisoning, where manipulated data is fed into an AI model to corrupt its output, and adversarial attacks, where subtle changes to an input cause the AI to make an incorrect classification.
