Cutting Through the Noise: Streamlining Threat Intelligence for Effective Cyber Security
An unspoken truth in cyber security is that most Threat Intelligence is technically interesting, but most isn't directly relevant to your organization. The attackers probably didn't target you, your business probably wasn't vulnerable, and the intel probably was too stale to be useful. SOCs are forced into a paradigm where they need to triage myriad threat reports, and handle large batches of supposedly leaked credentials, but in the end, <5% of the information is directly applicable. This talk will show strategies that eliminate the busy work from the intel triage process to let your analysts focus on the signal, instead of the noise.
