Introducing The SIMMIES: Our Technology Leadership Gala
Get ready to roll out the red carpet. SIM Boston is proud to present The SIMMIES, our premier awards gala celebrating the incredible stories, achievements, and humor of our local IT community. Think Oscars… but with more servers, fewer celebrities, and way better stories. Nominate your colleagues, share your stories, and join us for an unforgettable evening celebrating the very best (and funniest!) of tech leadership in Boston. Submit your nominations Here. Award Categories Rising Star Award: Spotlighting our chapter’s emerging leaders. Chapter Impact Award: Honoring long-term leadership and outstanding contributions. Funniest IT Story: Those laugh-out-loud “Hold my beer” or “Can you believe this?” moments. Scariest IT Story: Grey hair–inducing disasters that taught big lessons. Most Improved / Most Successful IT Story: Celebrating big wins, customer success, or major tech breakthroughs (AI anyone?).
The SIMMIES Experience Red Carpet & Photos: Dress to impress. Semi-formal is the vibe! Professional photography will capture the moment. Live Storytelling: Winners share their story in 2–3 minutes on stage (runner-ups get a nod too). Interactive Fun: Play along with interactive games throughout the evening. Special Guests: Our judges will be there in style…sashes included.
