Milwaukee Tech Hub Coalition: Doubling Tech Talent in 5 Years
Milwaukee Tech Hub Coalition has mission of doubling the tech talent in southeastern Wisconsin by 2025. While it is a big goal, it is absolutely necessary for us to excel as an economy and as a region. Today, there are already great programs underway to drive tech talent development, but those efforts alone will not achieve the goal. During this session, we'll talk through some of the trends in tech talent, based on SIM's own research, and how the Milwaukee Tech Hub Coalition intends to address those challenges.
Kathy Henrich is currently the CEO of the Milwaukee Tech Hub Coalition whose goal is to double the tech talent in Milwaukee. Kathy brings a unique blend of experiences which covers the broad objectives of the Coalition. She has over 25 years in the technology industry, including executive leadership of sales and partnership organizations, including a start-up between large corporate partners. In 2017, she dedicated herself to ensuring individuals and organizations have the skills to succeed in the era of AI and automation by pursuing her masters in Workforce and Talent Development from LSU. Most recently, Henrich served as the senior manager of the Future of Workforce at Accenture where she leveraged her line executive experience to help clients with organizational design, talent planning, upskill planning, and change management required by digital transformation. In addition, she’s been involved in many tech and talent non-profit projects in Wisconsin.
