The Program Committee is pleased to announce that the 2025 SIM golf & pickleball outing will continue at Oakland Hills Country Club. The event is on Tuesday, August 19th, 2025 and we will play rain or shine.

For Golf:

Please note important changes to this year’s program, registration and policies:

This year, we are playing North Course & South Course with a morning Breakfast, Golf & Lunch format.

• 20 on the North course for $95/person
• 20 on the Championship South course for $175/person

Registration includes 18 holes of golf and the special dining package we enjoy.

The Registration Deadline is August 7th, 2025, at 5pm. You can register via the SIM website. Registration can be cancelled up to 5pm on August 12th, 2025, by sending an email to nate.patel1@gmail.com, and your registration fee will be refunded; late cancellations or no shows are not refundable.  These are strict deadlines and there are no exceptions.

Golf Format:

1. Scramble format on North & Best Ball format on South course, with 4 person teams. For Scramble format, each team member takes a shot, the team selects the best one, and all team members play their next stroke from that position.
2. Teams will be established by random draw (this is a networking event) for each course.
3. The teams will compete against each other for the first place, with lowest team score.
4. Ties will be settled by a “Putt-off” on the practice green with each team designating one player to participate in the tie breaker. Tie-breaker participants may take two practice putts each, then two alternating competition putts each, with the closest to the target hole winning. Putting sequence will be determined by a coin toss.
5. On course awards will consist of Longest Drive, and Closest to the Pin.

Schedule

• 9:00 AM: Breakfast, Registration and warm up
• 10:45 AM: South Course Golf starts
• 10:45 AM: North Course Golf starts
  
• 3:00 PM or soon after the round, buffet lunch
• After Lunch: Putting Contest (weather permitting) & Awards 

For Pickleball:

• All Pickleball players will start at 1:30pm and end at 3:00pm (and then meet the golfers for lunch).  All pickleball players can send Sajay Rai an email (sajayrai@securelyyoursllc.com) with your interest to play.

This year we are continuing with a lesson:

We are planning to provide a group lesson by Oakland Hills pro for those who can't/don't want to play golf or Pickleball, and are interested in learning the sport.  Again, please send Sajay Rai an email (sajayrai@securelyyoursllc.com) directly if interested.
