Karen Calvert, a longtime VP of Information Services & Technology for Mary Kay Inc., brings her proven IT / business acumen, her experience in coaching and her passion for leadership development to RLF participants. While at Mary Kay, Karen co-led the company’s Culture Committee, was a Wellness Ambassador for Mary Kay’s Wellness Program and was a Leadership Mentor in their Mentee-Mentor program. Karen currently serves on the Board for the SIM Austin Chapter.

 

 

 

 

 


Cliff Higbee is a Facilitator and a Co-Director of The Institute For 21st Century Leadership. He is the former Director of the Management Information Center for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He received his B.A. in Speech Communications from the University of Utah. He is a past Intermountain Chapter president, has served on the SIM Executive Board in several Vice President positions, and chaired the 1994 Annual Interchange Conference. Cliff has been a guest lecturer at Weber State University and The Salt Lake Community College. He holds an elected position on the Salt Lake City School Board and serves on the Advisory Boards for Weber State University and Utah State University.

As Director of Curriculum & Programs for RLF, Cliff is responsible for the content (curriculum) of all Institute programs and products. He is also the point person for the development and assignments of facilitators.

 

Christine Atkins has the perspective that comes from 15 years as a CIO, capping a 40-year career in technology management. She has served as CIO with four corporations ranging from small to large to global and found the fundamentals of success to be largely the same across the various industries. She has advised Google, Oracle and HP. Chris retired from Royal Ahold in 2013 and is a principal at Atkins & Cameron LLC, specializing in IT strategy. She previously served on boards for Forsythe Technology and the SIM Chicago Chapter and is a 1995 Northeast RLF graduate.

Program Costs

$9,350*
All SIM members are eligible for a SIM member discount of $500.  If you, or someone from your organization, is a member of SIM, please contact  Molly Mahoney for a SIM member promo code. 
 
Register on or before Monday, March 22, 2021 and you will receive an additional Early Registration discount of $500.

The RLF fee includes:  
  • Virtual sessions until February 2021
  • Speakers, presentations, materials and activities during six 2-day sessions of the nine-month program.
  • Inclusion in a national learning event for all 2020 RLF grads.
  • All books and media used throughout the program.
  • All breakfasts, lunches and refreshments.
  • Individual SIM national membership for each graduate during 2021.
*Travel and hotel accommodations are not included in this fee.
